Necesidades, Sustentabilidad y Obsolescencia Programada.

Game about queuing – Service Operations

General Electric helps you to learn about Hospitals’ Operations Management

Patient ShuffleThanks to Victoria Losada, MBA Candidate 2011, I could enjoy this page from the GE website, with an interactive iPad app game. There are some videos that help you to understand the productivity problem by the interviews with the real actors of the system. Then, you can try yourself managing the schedule of resources that hospitals face through an awesome simmulation.
Little things add up. Time and money saved means medical staff have more resources to provide better patient care.Productivity issues are rised and it makes you easier to understand real life operations in a clinic. Finally, a way of measuring quality in this particular type of Service is presented.

Patient Shuffle, by General Electric Company for iPad or iPhone

Patient ShuffleDescription
Do you have what it takes to run a hospital? Place the non-stop flow of patients in rooms, then match them with doctors. It’s harder than it sounds, so you better plan ahead. The more happy patients you discharge, the higher you score. Patient Shuffle is an addictive game that is flat-out fun, and educational—you’ll walk away with a greater appreciation of just how complicated it is to deliver care to patients.
The e-Patient

When Dave deBronkart learned he had a rare and terminal cancer, he turned to a group of fellow patients online — and found the medical treatment that saved his life. Now he calls on all patients to talk with one another, know their own health data, and make health care better one e-Patient at a time.
